RENATO ARRIGO

Renato Arrigo carries out a professional activity documented by multiple Italian and foreign publications.
He has created residential, hotel and commercial buildings for private clients; for public clients he has designed university faculties (Institute of Statistical Sciences in Messina), an artistic museum center (Horcynus Orca in Torre Faro), public gardens (Villa Dante, Villa Sabin), various urban open spaces (Rometta and Milazzo), restoration of buildings intended for worship (S. Pietro e Paolo in Itala), building prototypes for the National Research Center (Contesse) and conversion hypotheses for the CNR Itae (villa de Pasquale in S. Lucia sopra Contesse). He combines the architectural scale with design activity by promoting various initiatives in the sector. He has exhibited in Paris, Beirut, Sao Paulo and Sofia.


He was awarded the "Adolfo Celi" award for best creative direction in 2021, with the first prize in the international competition "Le Cinque Farine" 2019, with the international "Houzz Design 2018" award assigned by the community among over 40 million users, with “Houzz Design 2017” award, with the “Houzz Design 2016” award, with the “Selinunte 2014” national award for the best contemporary architecture installation, with the “Kafka 2014” lifetime achievement award for the architecture – art section, with the third international prize of hotel architecture “Pida 2012″ and with the “I Quadrants of architecture 2010” award named after G. B. Vaccarini for an architectural work “realized within the Sicilian territory of evident architectural quality”. ​

Passionate about marketing, media events, and advertising communication, regional vice-president of the InArch Sicily section (National Institute of Architecture), member of the last Messina building commission, and member of the Accademia Peloritana dei Pericolanti, he has enriched his baggage with specific ethical implications included on the Taobook 2019 scoreboard.
He has participated in various international ideas competitions and produced innovative industrial design prototypes, developing multifunctional housing models for the CNR.

In March 2019 he was a guest of the Foreign Trade Institute in Sofia as part of the Italian Design Day to hold a conference with the Italian Ambassador to Bulgaria at the New Bulgarian University with an in-depth analysis of the theme "Living, Beauty comes from the South", a publication edited by the Ministry of Economic Development and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
In 2017, upon selection, he exhibited at the Pisa biennial - Refresh.
He was invited in 2014 by the Italian Embassy in Brazil to express his contribution, as a representative of Italian architecture, as part of the "Italy in the Cup" program in the framework of the football World Cup, with specific contributions treated at the European Institute of Design in Sao Paulo.
